Comment: They did not rip off the lion king. Lion king refferred to the CoL as "we're all conneted. TLB used "give birth, die, offspring gives birth." The original TLBT also used the CoL, so the argument is turned around. Not to ention the entire Lion King was a rip off of Kimba the White Lion.

Comment: I have a question, who is the composer of the music for this movie? i mean the land before time IV. There's an instrumental song that doesn't appear in the other movies of the land before time and i really want to know how it's called cuz it's beautiful...

Comment: Too be honest your review and most of the people form the LBT collection are better then Marzgurl's reviews because you don't complain for over 10 seconds on half pointless stuff.

Comment: Where does that "Ali the Racist Longneck" clip come from? Does anyone know? That Fellow: It's the HBO series "Flight of the Conchords."

Comment: To Ebalance: Look, I love that song "If We Hold On Together" too, but I friggin' LOVED "Dinosaur" (2000) when it came out (I was six yaers old then) and I still do! It thrilled me, interested me, and scared the crap out of me! I also really love the kick-ass (pardon my language) musical score by James-Newton Howard. You may not like it, but that's your opinion and yours alone! I DO!

Comment: I really love the original, and the sequels... OUCH! I think one of the reasons I love the original so much, besides it slightly more dramatic tone than your average kid's movie (yes I know Bluth is known for this... TLBT is still my favorite Bluth movie b/c I feel it has an edge, but isn't too scary for little kids... for a 5 year old some of his other movies really are terrifying... ) anyway... I was going to say that I think one of, if not my favorite song of all time, and not just of songs in movies is, "If We Hold on Together." It's just so beautiful and uplifting, and it's sung by Diana Ross. Most people I think forget that this song was written for this movie. It's also beautiful how they intertwine the song into the main score. I LOVED dinasaurs when I was a kid, and "TLBT" is the perfect kid's dinasaur movie... it's really too bad the gobs of sequels had to ruin it's good name... I'm also asking for The Phantom Tollbooth, as someone else asked for it, and it's one of my favorite movies of all time. The one thing I liked about this movie was that the flowers WERE PRETTY... To the person who likes "Dinasaur" ...meh... I agree with you Cabel... I don't think it's very good... however, it is better than the sequels to TLBT... though not even close the original...

Comment: Oh yeah. One more thing. I heard that Don Bluth, the director of the original TLBT movie was no fan of dinosaurs and made fun of it by dubbing it "The Lizard of Oz"! Get it? Good thing its box-office results proved him wrong.

Comment: Good thing the series ended in 2006! We were already up to our armpits in sequels by that time!

Comment: I haven't seen a whole lot of the "Land" sequels and I have forgotten about most of the ones I have seen. The first two, "Great Valley Adventure" and "Time of the Great Giving" are alright from what I remember, it's when "Journey Though the Mists" is where the executives ran dry of little ideas they had. And that "Circle of Life" song, did the songwriters think us kids were idiots back then? Almost everyone in the planet had the songs of "The Lion King" permanently planted in our cornea back then. 6:04 - I'm pretty sure Granny's began weeping in realizing that her carrer's lost all hope. BTW, Is that "Ali the Racist Longneck" thing real or something?

Comment: Man, Why were there like 10 sequels to a small non Disney animated movie from the 80's. I can understand 2 or 3 like An American Tail but 10? you think that's enough?

Comment: This was actually one of the few semi-decent LBT sequels I thought. Yeah, it was silly, but it had a few good parts. PS, WORST VILLAIN SONG EVER!!!

Comment: Of course, I meant favorite movies from the YEAR 2000. Also, That subplot about Littlefoot's Grampa getting sick is a lot like Alfred getting sick in "Batman and Robin" to me.

Comment: OMG! The Land Before Time IV just ripped off "The Lion King", my #1 favorite film of all time! Disney and/or Elton John must be reported! Plus, ACK! Terrible, terrible songwriting! Where in the world is Alan Menken when you need him? X( By the way, LEAVE "Dinosaur", one of my favorite 2000 movies, ALONE!!! LEAVE IT ALONE!!!
