Comment: The studio hired a lot of the Disney animators who got pink slipped after the failure of The Black Cauldron to work on this film , so some of their best including Glen Keane worked on Alvin and the dance scene on the ruins

Comment: Great review. I've still never watched this film after all this time, but I plan to some day. Also, Nootrac deserves his own spinoff show.

Comment: I've never been much of a fan of the Chipmunks. After watching this I've remembered why. It's disturbing sometimes, it's racist at some points, but the songs are okay... maybe.

Comment: This movie is just ok. The music is catchy, and it does have it's funny moments. But I found this movie to be more enjoyable when I was younger. I defiantly prefer this over the nowadays adaptation. As for the Chipettes sexiness... The clothes never bothered me, but the "Getting Lucky" song is really awkward. Good review Stephan!

Comment: Speaking of age, how can we be sure how old the chipmunks really are?... Makes me think of Animaniacs and fingerprints... And on the subject of "sexualizing" anyone, the wife of the creator's son directed the movie and voiced all three of the chipettes.

Comment: Excellent show. I hate to be saying this, but I found this film to be rather underwhelming. And I say that with respect to the long noble history these characters have. It felt like an extended episode of the TV show. Nothing more. Although some of the music was rather catchy. Terrific job on Nootrac, BTW.

Comment: Omigosh, the Nootrac trio in the beginning cracked me up! Oh, and this movie is pretty...just OK. I liked it when I was a kid, but now it's just silly. Fun fact: the "Boys/Girls of Rock 'n Roll" scene was partially animated by legendary Disney animator Glen Keane, which is why the animation there is so good!
