Comment: Snow White is 83 minutes long, not 90. Also, there were three pretty popular Popeye cartoons that were 22 minutes long that came out around that time.

Comment: Pinocchio being a douche bag? That I'd pay to see! Maybe this personality was a building block for the characters Gary Oak from the anime,(Blue in the games) Wario and Jet the Hawk! Huh, maybe even some Rayman characters like Murfy and Andre the Black Lum in Rayman 3! In the original, the cricket didn't have a name and was just too strict in comparison to Disney which I find annoying! So, if Disney went with the old plans Jiminy probably wouldn't have become as popular as he is today! The only clone of the cricket that resembles Jiminy best is Filmation's stab at the movie and character; Willackers.
While in comparison, the two are almost twins minus the design sets, voices and personalities. This is cool because not only did Willackers live up to standards that his Disney counterpart had set, he enhanced it by having a touch of Sonic the Hedgehog's personality from the Adventure games and everything up to Sonic Colors.
There was a Pinocchio game released for the SNES but we all know there's all ready one game starring a puppet that kicks the Disney butt; Dynamite Headdy! He was better than Disney's Pinocchio and was more unique and was rumoured to be inspiration for Micheal Ancel's Rayman but it's all a lie!

Comment: I like Oswald! He's cute! It makes me think that SEGA, Ubisoft ect. should bring back some legends like Ristar and Rayman!

Comment: I've heard there is actually a German animated feature that pre-dates Snow White by a few years, but Snow White is definitely the first American animated feature, and it's quite an acheivement even if it isn't technically "the first"
Pinocchio is one of the MOST BEAUTIFULLY ANIMATED films of all time... but apparantly it almost killed the Disney Animators... they were kinda mad at Walt for making them work so hard... or so I've heard...
Fantasia is definitely one of my favorite movies... it's so interesting and beautiful... I love the "Disney Sparkles" throughout the Nutcracker Suite, and yet again a continuing example of the mentality of quality and pushing ever onward to new heights that defined Disney for so long... it's tragic to see what has happened to them lately, but there remain a few glimmers of hope... both "The Princess and the Frog" and "Tangled" were very good... but I still the company lost in money grubbing appeals to the LOC and a total lack of the drive to push forward with the ideals of good storytelling and quality productions...
THAT SORCERER'S APPRENTICE MOVIE IS A TOTAL DISGRACE... along with so many of the other movies Disney had put out in the past ten or so years... I don't see why they get so pissed off about good movies like "The Black Cauldron" and then go off and make S*** like this... Disney, you should change your name b/c it's not the company Walt built anymore... not to say he was perfect, but he knew how to tell a story, and this "Disney" CLEARLY HAS BIG ISSUES W/that...

Comment: And I just read that Snow White was also the first feature film to be made with what many call "traditional animation" (i.e. the kind that's actually a series of drawings) since the animated feature films before that used cutout or puppet animation.

Comment: Adding to my last comment, the first ever was "El Apóstol", but that's a lost film. The earliest surviving one is a German one called "Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed", or, as translated into English, "The Adventures of Prince Achmed".

Comment: From what I've read, Snow White is the first feature-length animated film in the English-speaking world, but not the first ever. Still a good video you've made, though!

Comment: Aw c'mon you can like a certain character from a movie but hate the movie completely! Example; I love the Mario series but I HATE Luigi!
One I should mention is this AniMat. According to records Pinnochio was released in 1940, but in 2009 it came out with it's 70th anniversary. But if it's celebrating 70th in 2009 there's something wrong! Because then this film woul be only 69 not 70, that would come in 2010. So it's original release year is supposedly 1939.
