Episode 8:
Brief Film Reviews: The Milk of Sorrow

That Fellow In The Coat reviews one of the worst films of 2009 and Peru's submission for this year's Academy Awards.

Note: Yes, I know I said the title wrong in the video, but that proves my point that this was completely dull and un-interesting.

Comment: This has to be your worst and contorversial review. You don't seem to get what it's about and what it's trying to tell its audience. The main point in The Milk of Sorrow is that the mom was raped when she was pregnant with Fausta in times of terrorism in Peru which happened during 1980-1992. The illness not only affect rape victims but can also happen on the next generation. There's a saying "It's about the destination it's about the journey". Which is exactly what the main protagonist is experiencing while finding out the truth. This deserved to be nominated for Best Foreign Feature. infact it got a rating of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes and Certified Fresh. You may not of guessed my parents were from Peru and the emmigrated during that time. after watching it with my perants and siblings we felt the harsh lives of the women and their siblings.Considering that I'm the only person to leave a comment and hopefully everybody will read it showing either you don't get the whole picture or you got terrible taste in foreign features. That Fellow: Well, I just watched a great French film called "Red", which is a lot more acclaimed than this film and will be still remembered twenty years from now.
