Comment: "Kinda like a Medusa"? Medusa is a character in Greek Mythology, and her species isn't called "Medusas". They are called Gorgons. For someone who reads books, you seem to not know much. -_- Then again, you do seem like a uneducated delusional fangirl who can not find any flaws in what she loves. You're even delusional to the point that you can not find any flaws in Harry Potter? That's just pathetic and sad... and no, I'm not a troll. I'm just saying the truth.

Comment: Everyone in the US has seen the wizard of oz - the rest of the world is happy to be blissfully unaware. And you haven't understood Nimh as a child? Oooookay...(perhaps you should read more, but if not even Harry Potter can hold your interest...) My favourite fantasy movie is easily Momo, no question asked. It's one of the few which really stays true to the book in transporting the same message.

Comment: Dinsey had owned the rights to the Narnia original when they started remaking them. Unfortunately after they remade prince Caspian Disney threw in the towel do with it not doing as well and getting more bad reviews then the first film got made less money our what they consider. Disney other expectaions can be weird swam princess only made like 9 million in theaters it was consider a floop while the sequel to the 1970 king kong barely made ove 438.38 thousands dollars. This was do to disney making several dumb and bad alerations to the books that upset many of the fans. Including making Caspian to fucken old and have aslan absent for a big percentage of the film maybe even more then he was in the bridgestone version done in UK. You telling me that this boy who was only 6 to 11 years old in the original Bridgestone version that's now 13 to 19 years old in the remake needs 4 8 to 13 years old kids to come bail his ash out I call bullshit on that. Not to mention they totaled killed of Meraz the wrong way to fuck up Disney. As for dawn the treader remake that Walden did. That I'll let slide have they done it like the original bridestone script was without the whole evil mist threatening the land they need the swords to save Narnia. It had been them just going to look for the 7 kings out of respect with only a few brief threats and obstacles along the way. The remake would have fucken bomb. Too bad they're only one more movie they can make. Last battle they can't make because the soccer mon will go up in arms then will have jack thompson our some else one our ashes again.

Comment: THEY'RE NOT ORPHANS!!! Their father went to fight, and their mother wanted them to be away from the bombs... just like the kids in "Bedknobs and Broomsticks," the Pevensie children were shipped to the country during the bombings... and they did release "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," but like "Caspian" I believe they massively missed the point of the book, and changed the story too much... I'm not sure if it actually flopped, but it got terrible reviews... my favorite Narnia book was always "A Horse & His Boy" ... if they make that one, which I don't think they will, I hope they don't screw it up... I HATE SHREK... it's JUST SO MEAN!!! Yeah, good animation... but that doesn't make up for the bad morals... and I don't find it that funny, either... the second one was the best, I think, as it solved these moral issues, and seemed generally better thought out, especially in terms of villain characters... The Last Unicorn is great!!! Schmendrick RULEZ!!! (Actually, I'm working on a script w/a character partially inspired by him, and partially inspired by the version of Merlin in Disney's adaptation of "The Sword in the Stone") As for HP... first 3 movies/books are quite good, but I like "Azkaban" the best... the 4th one is WAAAY TOO SILLY... and the other ones just kinda suck in my opinion... mostly b/c of the huge number of glaring plot holes, and the total loss of magic being a "good thing..." I HATE THIS EMO FANTASY S***... and I hate that HP turned into that... plus in the newer ones they rip off LOTR a lot... Spirited Away is my fav Miyazaki film, but it is hard to decide... plus I'm kinda a Totoro addict, but the movie to me is too short, and I'm more interested in Totoro than the little girls... I used to really like The Wizard of Oz... that is when I can bring myself to tear it away from the books in my mind... but recently I don't think I like it nearly as much as I did when I was a kid... Things I hate about it: OZ IS NOT A FREAKING DREAM!!! It's supposed to be a real island!!! Dorothy is way too old... Wicked Witch of the West & Glinda come into story way too early... Some weird choices regarding changing the "rules" of Oz... Things I still think are great: The music... EVERYBODY NEEDS TO GO READ THE BOOKS!!! The ones by L. Frank Baum!!! Yeah... the books... they're just SO much better... I can't forgive the movie for changing SO MUCH w/NO REASON... I gotta say LOTR was awesome when I saw them the first three times or so, but like the changes in Oz, some of the changes in these are unforgivable... so... I still like these movies, but... they have fallen from my favor a bit as I consider them more... My main problems: Why is Frodo such a damsel in distress?! He kinda kicks ass in the books... Why are Merry & Pippin just SO goofy?! THEY FREAKING PLANNED THE WHOLE TRIP OUT OF THE SHIRE!!! How can Arwen outrun freaking 5 wraiths?! In the book it's a MUCH more powerful character, and the wraiths NEVER get that close to them... it's just silly... TOO MANY CLOSE CALLS!!! All the close calls lessen the drama, not heighten it!!! BTW: Have you seen "Stardust?" That was also a VERY good film... plus it has Robert DeNiro in a pink tutu!!! I'm totally serious!!! Oh... and back to Oz for a moment... they recently released a box set of the film w/a bunch of special edition "stuff"... it has a really good documentary on the life of L. Frank Baum, as well as some very rare movies that his own Oz production company made... the best I think is "The Patchwork Girl of Oz" ... it's not super long, and for some reason they didn't try to put any music to it, so it's a bit weird to watch it totally silent... but it's really interesting to see the sort of thing Baum himself wanted to make. If he had lived longer it would have been really cool to see him go head to head w/ Disney, I think... unfortunately, his movie company folded rather quickly...
