Comment: How can anyone like The Lion King and treat it like it's some kind of religion? That film is nothing more than a disgusting piece of garbage in my opinion (It's characters are the worst of any animated movie).

Comment: they are doing a new care bears show on the hub (the ppl who put new energy into old hasbro shows)i dont know if it will be good or not but if something happend like the brony phenominon they wouldn't be called brears they'd probobly be called care bros (see what i did there?) i will give it a shot when the series comes out (BTW it's in CGI that doesn't look good but it's not bad animation and that's juging from the comercial)

Comment: 12. Never saw it. 11. Really fun movie! 10. My favorite was the second. 9. Never saw. 8. LOVE this movie! 7. Haven't seen this movie in ages (PS, anyone else think the evil wizard looks a little like Jafar's pale-skinned cousin?) 6. Totally awesome! 5. Yay! Love this one! 4. This and "The Great Mouse Detective" (yeah, I know, "big shocker!") were the two Disney movies I watched the most when I was a kid, and still watch them all the time (so much that I've memorized most if not all the lines from both!) 3. My favorite is the third one. 2. I do enjoy this movie. 1. Saw this coming about a mile away...it's a totally great movie! Great list, Mr. Coat!

Comment: i would wait in line to rent inspector gadget, because the first time i saw it, i was a stupid little girl who was disinterested in anything disney that wasn't disney princess or mary poppins.I've never seen the Lion King, but that's because when i was younger, i would see the back of the vhs cover, and see simba and scar fighting, and would be terrified. I was going to see the 3d showing, but i missed it. i loved seeing the 3d showing of toy story/toy story 2. my number one would be mary poppins. when i was little, my mom had to buy me my own vhs copy so i wouldn't destroy my grandma"s

Comment: #12. Haven't' seen this, but I probably should. If The Gold Rush can still make me laugh hysterically in an audience, this ought to do the same. 11. Love this movie more than the original. It's what Mel Brooks SHOULD have done in the first place, in my opinion. 10. Can I be honest and say I enjoyed the sequels more than this one? 9. Never saw nor read the comics very muc, but I was always aware of them and respected their audience. 8. Ahh, my namesake. A welcome entry on the list and very well loved. 7. You have MAJOR guts to come out and admit to this one. I watched these movies religiously when I was a kid, but you wouldn't guess that if you met me. Consider me a "brear." 6. Definitely a winner. Do this day, I will still watch this on VHS. 5. I didn't worshi this movie, but generations of viewers can't be wrong. 4. A work in progress version? That surprises me how they sold that. While not a favorite, it deserved a 3D rerelease. 3. Oh hell yeah. This movie got me back into playing with toys and I was in middle school at the time. You know, that time where playing with toys is no longer considered "cool." 2. Yeah...this had to be someone's guilty pleasure, just not mine. 1. Hallelujah. I had a weird obsession with this one. When I saw this one in the theatre, my enthusiasm was pretty high. It wasn't until the Internet came into popularity that my obsession came into play through the film's various fan sites and webrings. Yeah, WEBRINGS! Remember those? I should have seen it in the theatre, but that's getting tough for me now.

Comment: Yeah I'm guilty of The Lion King too I probably watched it the most out of all of those you've mentioned, I sometimes get new generations of kids to watch it with me like my littlest cousins, I also viewed Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Toy Story, and Snow White many times when I was younger, and you've inspired me to watch Modern Times and Asterix vs Caesar.

Comment: On a slightly related note, I never knew of "Care Bears" growing up (I was born in 1990, by the way). My little kid show of choice was "Blue's Clues".

Comment: This really brought back some memories from me. I liked "Shrek" as a kid (I was in fourth grade when it came out), but didn't love it because the toilet humor made me uncomfortable. I LOVED "Monsters Inc.", though. I saw it in theaters twice and my sister and I used to play make-believe games about us meeting Mike and Sully. "Toy Story" was one of the first things I ever bought with my allowance, and I acquired several pieces of "Toy Story" merchendise including three computer games based on the films over the course of my childhood. I can remember when computer-generated movies were still brand new!

Comment: #12 Never seen it. #11 Never seen it. #10 Very funny, very nostalgic film for me (9/10). #9 Never saw it. #8 I have watched this film an uncountable amount of times (10/10). #7 Never seen it. #6 Never seen it. #5 This is a nostalgic, timeless animated feature that I watched over and over again (9/10). #4 This film is a classic (9/10). #3 I don't think it is as good as everyone says it is but it is still a nostalgic film that I have seen many times (9/10). #2 I really enjoyed this film and I have watched MANY times in my life (8/10). #1 I am the only person on the planet who actually dislikes this film. I have watched it more times than any other film but I was mainly forced to watch it. I used to go to a daycare center and the film that they showed the most was the Lion King. After a while, it drove me nuts and the film has grown unbelievably stale for me. It really does stink because previous to the day care center, I actually liked this film. I remember going over to a friends house and requesting the Lion King to watch. I would have rather watched it by choice then by force. As of now, there is nothing that about this film that I can watch without having thoughts of suicide. I have actually developed a fear of this film. It's that bad (4/10).

Comment: By the way, I'm surprised that you didn't add Star Wars or Jurassic Park on your list (both movies I watched a lot as a kid). I also saw "The Lion King 3D" in theatres for the sake of nostalgia and I'm so planning on seeing "Beauty and the Beast 3D" in theatres next January. p.s.: I can see you still have a taste for previews on the older versions of VHS tapes.:)!!!

Comment: Great list Mr.Coat! Unfortunately for me I never watched "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" in my childhood because I grew up in a christian home so my parents would only let me watch certain Disney movies. I am now in my early 20's so I plan to change that. Can anyone tell me if Christmas Day would be the perfect day of the year to make my first impression of that Disney classic?

Comment: Great list!
Two things:
How was Happy Feet Two?
In the Title Card, I can see that one of the movies lying on the floor around you is Babe. Why is it on the title card if it's not on the list?
Mr. Coat: I enjoyed it, even a little bit more than the first. As for the Babe cover appearing there, I don't know. You'll have to ask the title card artist.Name: Cw93

Comment: 300 times over a period of 17 years equates to watching the Lion King once every 20 days which sounds like a bit of an exaggeration.
By the way, you can't have an "exact estimate". If it is exact it isn't an estimate and if it is an estimate, it isn't exact.
