Comment: Is anyone up for Disney's "Wreck-It-Ralph"? I am. The titular character is based on the original Donkey Kong.

Comment: @Mr. Coat/JaimeTud: I didn't think it was, since I didn't see anything about it, but I'll agree that it felt like it since it was talked about so much.

Comment: Mr. Coat: Really? That's odd. I could have sworn it was. Nevermind. :-)

Comment: The King of Kong actually didn't get an Oscar nomination. But the Academy's documentary branch is strange like that, in that docs you might think were definitely recognised, were ignored (Roger & Me, Senna and Grizzly Man come to mind).

Comment: @Jaimetud Thanks, man. I will admit that when it came to the music, they dropped the ball a bit. I think it was a budget thing and a lot of the "score" was actually just done by one of the producers in Garage Band. But, I really wanted my episode to have that kick-ass late 70s/early 80s classic rock sound to reflect the times. The music was easily some of the most fun I had with this one. It's a shame you didn't really care for the movie, though. Although, it might just be another victim of being an over-rated Oscar winner, where when it's put on a pedestal, people wonder why it's so great.

Comment: You know, it’s funny. I really wanted to like this movie. I love classic gaming, I like some documentaries and I had high expectations for this one because it was an Oscar nom. But the pacing, the editing and everything else was just so slow that I lost interest and fell asleep. I couldn’t believe something that looked like it was edited with Windows Movie Maker got so much praise. Your episode here has more punch to it, better information, better music choices and is FAR more informative and entertaining than this movie was. I especially like how you pulled off the eight bit look. Great job here and can’t wait for the next one!

Comment: @Jacob Thanks, man. The only downside to making these videos myself is how long it takes to make one. Now that Mr. Coat has finally caught up on my back-catalog, no more new weekly episodes :( It takes quite a while to do one of these babies, believe me.
