Episode 3:
The DVD Shelf: They Live

In this episode, David pulls John Carpenter's They Live off the shelf, an extremely underrated sci-fi horror film from 1988 starring "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Comment: This is one of my favorite episodes of DVD Shelf. The history, the editing, and especially the gag at the end. The only other person I know to do that gag was Morgan when he did his 3D special of Vaulting.

Comment: @Jaimetud Thanks! Yeah, all politics aside, it surely represents a lot of the common fears around this time during the 80s. It's very of its time so this is just one of the many rumored remakes that just seem unnecessary, but most of them are anyway. I guess a remake could have the higher class aliens be the reason our economy crashed, but that's a stretch.

Comment: Again, love it. Especially the gag at the end. I am as pro-capitalist as they get and yet I still enjoy this movie. It's a tough philosophy to defend, I know. :-)
