Comment: I recently saw this and thought it was great. The wolf is one of my favorite animals and when I saw commercials for Alpha and Omega I knew I had to see it. I agree with you Hewy that the animation was not the great but if you watch the DVD in the extras they explain the reason to their animation techniques. The one thing that really stands out in this movie is the music. It is so powerful and touching. Keep up the reviews Hewy.

Because the critics saw it differently. You can see animat's review to find out why.

Comment: If the movie was good, why did the critics say it was godawful.

Comment: Actualy the animals that are villanized the most in total films are usually serpents sometimes dragons. Another character that got a negative alot starting in the mid 1980's was fox mostly due to stuff like the redwall series written by the now decease Brian Jacques.

Comment: I saw "Alpha and Omega" on DVD and I gotta say, for the worst animated movie of last year, I found it to be OK. It suffers from the generic storyline and plot cliches, and awkward moments. On the positive side, I found a few jokes to be pretty funny, and some of the character designs looked decent. What I really liked about it was the voice acting. Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Christina Ricci, Larry Miller and Dennis Hopper really sounded like they were actually having fun with their roles. I wouldn't exactly highly recommend this, what with better films around like "Toy Story 3" and "Despicable Me" and all. Sure, it's stupid, but it's relatively harmless. It's not terrible, it's just OK. That's all I gotta say.

Comment: Forgot to mention that on Rotten Tomatoes it got a rating of 14%. Another thing that the 3D version is a joke. It uses plot elements from Romeo & Juliet, Midsummer Night's Dream, Balto and The Incredible Journey.
I highly doubt that it will be a cult favourite mostly because it's dying at the box office in most parts of the world.
You could of used Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival at the end credits.

Comment: I didn't want to see it b/c it seems like a bland re-hashing of something similar to Balto... at least in tone & character... I think probably the marketing stuck it w/that label b/c of the scenes w/ the goose and the bear... straight out of Balto... I'll probably end up watching it some day when I'm really bored and can watch it for free on netflix or on TV... yeah, the animation in this movie doesn't look very good, especially for something coming out this year...
I LOVE GALAXY QUEST!!!

Comment: PS thank god it flopped at the box office mostly because LOTG overshadowed it (which got mixed reactions but a bit more positive reviews and better use of 3D) and it was released around the same time as "The Social Network" and "The Town" and "Easy A" which proved that audiences are too smart because around time is were films get to be nominated at the Oscars.

Comment: When I heard that Richard Rich is behind it I thought it will suck and I was right. He's the person behind the animated abominations of Rogers and Hammerstein's The King and I and Elwyn Brooks White's Trumpet and the Swan.

Comment: Yesterday, I went to see this movie with my mom and sister. I must say, it was wonderful! It even got some good moments in it. Also, this is the fist movie I've seen in 3D. I guess I understand the term "Flying off the screen" now. Still, a good movie, glad I went to see it. And I'm glad to go back to my decision of seeing it.

Comment: Nice review, Huey.Though wolves aren't the only animal that hasn't got any good spotlight.Owls did as well. Like wolves, they are portrayed as villains (like in "Rock-a-Doodle" ), stereotypes (like owls being wise), or woodland creatures. Luckyly the film, "Legend of the Guardians" changed that by making owls be heroes with different personalities.

Comment: This movie wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I liked it for what it was, and it wasn't so much as one of those CG comedies where Pop Culture References were shoved down my throat. It was fun, cute, and harmless. 3/5

Comment: The one I complained about is the title. When I heard the name I thought it was going to be about two govenmrnt agents solving a conspiracy. Another is that it has Matthew Farrell from Die Hard 4 and Claire Bennet from Heroes as the leads, Roger Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon, Howard Payne from Speed, Lucy from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Walter Stratford from 10 Things I Hate About You in the supporting roles.
I find the story unoriginal and the characters are undeveloped. I'm glad that film critics agree with my opinions

Comment: You know why the animation so bad? While pre-production and post-production were done here in the USA, the animation itself was done in INDIA!!!I have nothing against the country, but I find studios who rely on other countries to do their dirty work instead of producing quality animation themselves are lazy and retarted, and the final outcome is far from top-notch.
