Comment: A great review as always. I remember watching it as a child, singing alongand enjoying the movie as a whole, though it would take years later before I would understand it all as a whole. I'm also rather surprised you havn't done teh 'sister' film to this, named "The Flight of Dragons".

Comment: I heard this movie got MIXED reviews. And when I mean "mixed" reviews, I mean "50% on Rotten Tomatoes" reviews. I guess they didn't admire the animation. Also, that harpy with the saggy grandma t**s, YYEEEEEEEECCCCHHHH!!!! HOW COULD THEY GET AWAY WITH THAT WITH A G RATING BACK THEN?? That and "The Secret of NIMH" should've deserved a PG rating? What? Were the MPAA just very lazy back then?

Comment: This movie is really good. Still, I think it could have been better... I definitely would have cut out that stupid butterfly... I have a rule about annoying characters: If your character is annoying, they must only being annoying insofar as they annoy the other characters... if they annoy the audience, the character should be re-thought so that they don't. The stupid butterfly in this movie violates that rule as he is on screen for FAR TOO LONG... love all the other characters, though. Schemendrick is my fav! The Red Bull really scared me when I was a kid... doesn't scare me now, though... I always loved the idea of the unicorns being in the ocean as an allusion to narwhals and how in the middle ages narwhal horns were taken to be the horns of unicorns I like the songs by America a lot... I find the others to be kinda grating, especially "Now That I'm a Woman"

Comment: This is a great review. This movie went very unappreciated by me when I first saw it at age 9. Good thing you re-caped on the story, I really missed somethings from my first few viewings. I must see it again!
