IN FRICKIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!!! 3. Never mess with the king of monsters, BITCHES! 2. That dead face at the night dive scene.. Worse than the dead face from The Deadly Spawn (1983) 1. Comment: @Predaconmatrix, to be honest, the Alien scared me more than the Predator. The way they reproduced with the chestbusters gave me nightmares for months. And I also played Alien Vs Predator 2 on the PC and the Marine campaign was by far the scariest. All alone with the hundreds of Xenomorphs lurking in the darkness...The Predator was, by far, the best with the cloacking and its amazing weapons.

Comment: @Predaconmatrix, Judge Doom: Remember me, Predaconmatrix? When I showed up on your TV for the first time, I scared you...JUST...LIKE...THIIIIS! I have to admit, Judge Doom is scary but only if you see him at a younger age. I've seen him a two years ago on youtube for the first time and he did not scare me at all. He looked incredibly funny and creepy at the same time.

Comment: So that's how they made the Godzilla roar, I've always wondered how they did it, I always assumed it was a mixture of different animal calls, and yeah Jaws was one of my big time childhood scares it scared me so much that I was afraid to swim in the deep end of the pool alone, I was introduced to it by my aunts and uncles.

Comment: Just today I stumbled upon another of my childhood scares on Youtube and I promise that this is the last one from me. I don't want other viewers to think that I don't want them to share their scares. This one is from a cartoon named The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest and it was one of the first cartoons that I have seen where they used CGI. Whenever the characters entered a virtual reality world called Quest World, they used CGI and it was pretty good compared to some of the CGI used nowadays. There was one episode named Heroes where two of the protagonists went to a replica of the temple of Zeus to look for a stone statue of Apollo's head and that is where they met Medusa. Man, I was scared of her. Her snake hair, the fact that she had no feet and she was gliding, her green reptilish skin and her glowing eyes...nightmare fuel! The episode is on youtube, and after seeing that episode, I had nightmares for weeks.

Comment: No problem :). Jamietud, I just noticed something today when I watched the cartoon again. Doesn't the music at the begining of the cartoon sound like Night on Bald Mountain?

Comment: @Predaconmatrix: Just caught the VHS opening on Youtube. I believe you were frightened by the ad for the new Animal Kingdom. I don't blame you. I can see how they were trying to get the audience engaged with that one, but perhaps in your case, they went a tad too far.

Comment: @CartoonFan: I just checked that one out on Youtube. That...was...weird! It was like someone asked Rob Zombie to do design work for an episode of "The Wacky World of Tex Avery." I can definitely see the disturbance. Thanks for sharing!

Comment: @Jaimetud Ya it was the opening to the movie itself it was the first ad you see if i'm correct it had a dragon pop up out of nowhre which freaked me out but the sudden random chanting in the opening caught me off guard the first time...... Not fear per say but like a jump scare. And animal x is a tv show which is really corny and fun now but back then that supernatural stuff had me in gleeful terror. Oh and like i said i think mystery hunters still runs along with truth or scare on the hub. the ending to gremlins when the decaying stripe popped up, Oh and the t-rex from land before time creeped me out when i was a kid. But now i think he's nothing compared to someone like grimlock.

Comment: I remembered another one that I don't think many people know about it. Back when I was a kid there was a cartoon show on Cartoon Network called What A Cartoon and it showed cartoons that were kinda like pilot episodes for a series. All of them were good but there was one that was distrubing and scary as hell! It's about a peaceful hippie worm that after being stepped on by a human numerous times goes crazy and wants to kill him by dropping a bucket full of acid on him. His worm girlfriend tries to stop him but in the process the worm guy slips and the bucket falls on his head and his face is covered with acid. Now the scary part is that there is this scene that comes out of nowhere. The worms are in a park and it's all sunny and beautiful, like nothing bad happened and then we see the worm's face. Half of it is deformed, you can see parts of his brain, his interior flesh and you see it, not once but twice...oh man! I can't believe I have forgotten about this scary scene. JamieTud, I highly recommend you look for this cartoon, I think you can find it on youtube and you will see what I mean. It's a really disturbing cartoon and since I watched it as a kid, you can imagine my reaction. The cartoon is called Tales of Worm Paranoia or Worm Paranoia.

Comment: Wow, these are all interesting choices. I can totally understand some of them. Judge Doom, the Robot from Robocop, Ursula, Cruella De Vil...those are all rather popular choices. But the opening to the Lion King 2 VHS and Animal X sound pretty rare and interesting. And Zexoguy, I really can't blame you.

Comment: Let's not forget that there some scary moments from the classic Disney movies as well. Although AniMat might have mentioned some of them, I will do the same and reveal some that he did not mention. I was scared of Ursula from the The Little Mermaid and when she gained power...oh man! But for me, the one Disney moment that scared me the most that I close my eyes even to this day, is Cruella De Vil's devilish face when she chasses the dalmations with her car. When I first saw that as a child I screamed and ran out of the room. So yeah, even the Happiest Place on Earth has scary moments.

Comment: *Spelling corrections* (Framed and here) And @ Cartoonfan: Ya that giant guard that shot that guy to bits was creepy...... @ Bree: Ya i love that show now but i was freaked out by it when i was younger but now i know that its more of a thriller than a actual horror story or atleast it's not a huge gore fest is what i mean but don't get me wrong gore doesn't make things scary. Mortal kombat isn't scary but it's gorey.

Comment: Oh and something alot of you might not have heard of. Two shows that still run on discovery kids, Truth or scare and mystery hunters and one that sadly you can only find on youtube now....... Animal x. Oh and that explains why gremlins wasn't in hear but the second half or the ending did make a perfect fit. Oh and judge doom from who frammed roger rabbit.

Comment: Well, since you asked for us to share our childhood scares, I have a few but the one that pops out right now is the robot ED-209 from Robocop. When I saw him for the first time as a kid, he scared the living daylights out of me. His menacing presence, his robotic voice and that he snarls like a tiger...nightmare fuel for me. The scene where he chased Robocop and firing bullets and missles at him, man you surely wouldn't want to be in his place but the creepiest part for me was when ED-209 fell down the stairs and he started to squeal like a pig. Not to mention the stop-motion used for ED-209 was also a factor. What...the...? How can a robot snarl like a tiger and squeal like a pig? I could also mention Robocain from Robocop 2. Pretty much like ED-209 but ten times scarier! Well, these two are for now. If I remember more, I'll be sure to mention them.

Comment: Great list. I have to admit, I did not see the number 1 scare. Great job. I remember the Goosebumps series, I watched a few episodes but the episodes did not scare that much. The intro did. The creepy music, the part with the dog with the glowing eyes scared me the most. When I first saw that scene when I was a kid, I never looked at dogs the same way.
