Comment: Yeah it's very good, but still lesser Scorsese. DiCaprio turns in one of his best turns to date, Ruffalo and Williams are very well-cast, the screenplay is well-structured, but I feel the score is slightly overpowering at times and while Marty definitely creates real suspense in the film's third act his pacing in the first two is quite inconsistent. And yes it sure is a movie that people should go into with as little prior knowledge as possible - I haven't read the novel and I sense that if I had it would've been a lot more predictable. But overall, it's a very good way to spend two and a half hours.
