Comment: My personal theory with the raptors is that it is a simple matter of sexual dimorphism, with the males being the ones with the quills. At least, that was my interpretation.

Comment: first off it not bullshit the corpse decayed that fast it likely he was already dead from landing ( most likely breaking his neck) and then at the temp of the island and because of some bactria or fungus he decayed becuse of that also another thing spinosaurus only eat fish how the hell can it kill a trex also it ate dead and small dinosaurs this is bullshit but they did get few things right like the spinosaurus size because it one of the biggest dinosaurs and the fact it can swim which is true due to it eating fish

Comment: You're right. I just checked the movie book and it was released in 1976. In this case, I have no idea what the next film is going to be.

Comment: @Nic Kramer - King Kong was 1976. Not 1974

Comment: I'm guessing the next review will be the critically panned "King Kong" remake. The first one, I mean. I heard the second one was decent/good. Peter Jackson came a long way from doing that bad Muppet parody movie.

Comment: I recall seeing this movie in thateres and other then the many shocking kill-offs and one of Jetter's lines (whose character also gets killed off), it wasn't memorable.

Comment: @Morgan Well... I don't like Siskel and Ebert's reviews. Mostly because they are rushed and not constructive enough, and even inconsistent at times. I know they had to do it for the show - I am just explaining why I don't care about their reviews... at all. And fine, some people watch reviews like that. As for me? I want reviewers to recognize both sides of things. I watch reviews to know what type of people a movie is meant for. And reviewers like Linkara and even Nostalgia Critic sometimes; but especially Captain Logan (Geekvolution) - they tell what people will enjoy what they review. This is why I consider Captain Logan to be my favorite reviewer out there - he can analyze and see movies from all different aspects. But look... if you want to do your reviews this way, that's absolutely fine with me. I respect that. I am just explaining how I see this. I'm sorry if I've upset you or anything alike. I just wanted to share my thoughts, you know? :)

Comment: @Kurvos - Ok, I just took a walk to clear my mind and something came to me. Why do people watch reviews? Because they want to know the opinion. It doesn't matter how sucessful or bad something is, all that matters is what others think and that is a reason to why I left out "does this have an audience" factor. We tune in to Siskel and Ebert to know their view of films and their opinion regardless of good or bad, not to know if films have an audience. Sure it is a key factor at times when knowing how big something is like the Star Wars franchise or Titanic, but it all comes back to one thing: the opinon and that is what people matter the most when it comes to shows like this. So what does that say for films I'm reviewed in the past? They too have an audience and either I'm part of it nor not. Again, I'm here to say "hate this" or "love that," I'm just giving my view of things and not dictating the audience what to do.

Comment: I love the Spinosaurus, and I dig the fight it has against the T-Rex. And the movie is a great popcorn movie that gives you a adrenaline kick - especially the first Spino sequence. I understand where you are coming from with this, but... why are you only recognizing that haters of the movie exists, and not that lovers exists as well? I know a lot of reviewers are doing that, but... that doesn't stop it from bothering me. :/ It's the same with people bashing the Star Wars prequels. Either they pretend like lovers don't exist for it, or they recognize it by saying the lovers deserves to die.

Comment: I honestly liked this entry in the Jurassic Park series. It gave us more and meaner dinosaurs. And it gave us evolving intelligent raptors. But the reason I am commenting and probably the reason I like this movie so much, is that it references my hometown/current town: Enid, Oklahoma. It may be a crappy town, but it is my crappy town. And I expected you to at least mention where the Kirbys' were from or the last line of the series. Both instances say my hometown's name. BTW, the shopping center exists, but not the store. I did think that jumping the shark exploding gag was funny. But for me the the later Jurassic Park movies are dinosaur action flicks. They are big fun movies, that you just kick back and enjoy. While I enjoy the first one for doing something different and asking ethical questions about the plot, the second two are just fun to watch happen. And I can't help but laugh at failed comedy. It is funny when a movie tries to have a funny moment but can't seem to do it.

Comment: Another stupid moment I'm surprised wasn't mentioned was the kid mentioning he got some T-Rex urine, how is that possible it would've eaten him, there are a few okay moments but it is a heavily flawed film, too many stupid moments, annoying characters, and a weak story.

Thanks to you I always know what films to watch and what films I shouldn't waste my time on. Especially since we have pretty similar tastes in film I've noticed.

Comment: look... though all the issues, though all the mistake and though out all the shit in this movie... i still kind of like it as a guilty pleasure. the idea of having the spino as a "villain" was ok, though i will say killing of the T-rex was bull, but still, the story i didn't mind and i thought the scenes with the pteranodon and raptors were good. i get why it sucks and i get why fans hate it to the core, i just think it's a good flick to just watch and enjoy.

Comment: This review was good. The only time I caught a smidgen of this movie was during it's showing on Cartoon Network (You know, for kids!) and while it didn't look to be all that bad of a film, they did something really weird with it. I swear the network adjusted the movie's contrast to look more cartoony. Or maybe that was just Joe Johnston's creative input.

Comment: Am I the only one here who thought the Spinoraptor (I think that's it's name, the one who killed the T-Rex) is like Tick-Tock the crocodile from Peter Pan with the cell phone thing? Also, can't wait to see that 70s disaster review :P

Comment: Oh Morgan...I'm so sorry. It seems you just can't get a break from bad films (although Dinosaur might be an exception). If you need a good film to watch, I'd recomend Stardust, a 2007 british fantasy/romatic comedy. Even if it's not the best movie ever made; it's enjoyable and has a great cast. I'd highly recomend it (if you can find it; Netflix was stupid and replaced it with annother movie of the same name.) Good job on this episode!

Comment: God bless you Morgan for giving this unnescessary piece of Dinosaur crap the bashing it deserved. I agree that the missing child story is stupid compared to the plots of the first two. I also happened to be one of those fans pissed off my the killing of the T-Rex. Imagine in "Return of The Jedi", George Lucas thought "...you know Darth Vader was the boss of the first two Star Wars films, lets find someone to just get rid of him and seem more evil. T-Rex was the mascot of the series why get rid of him!? I also agree that this is movie is even worse than "The Lost World" and yes that movie is weak, but I don't understand the critics thinking it was better because it wasn't!
